Hi Mom! It's all good :) This pic is for Trey's mommy who has entrusted him to my care for a few days...I think it's harder on Mommy than anyone...so just so Mommy knows....we're doing great :)
This girl is super sweet, a great student...and a budding ballerina! Hopefully :) I'll have more pics to share of her later....if we find a good time to do a photo shoot while she's here. Just had to get a pic of the cuz's together :)
Meet my lovely niece, Hannah, who is turning 14 in just a few short days and will enter High School in a few short days too! Hope your Freshman year is GREAT, Hannah!
Things are quiet bordering on boredom around here with John and Leah dashing off to NYC for the weekend to experience the thrill of watching the Yankees play one of their last games in the old stadium before it is torn down.
So I've resorted to taking a picture of lunch :)
Which is a Kale Avocado salad, a recipe concocted by Karen Knowler. It's quite yummy. Recipe's as follows for those who are interested:
First wash your hands very well...you'll see what I mean...
Next prepare a bowl full of Kale chopped [the finer the better I'm told....but I didn't go crazy with it]
Add a little Olive Oil and take off your rings cause things get messy from here on.
Scrunch...that's right...you gals who gel your hair know what I mean...scrunch the oil into the kale.
Add a little Salt.
Then cut a small Avocado in half and squeeze it right out of it's skin into the bowl and scrunch it into the kale mixture.
Chop a few Grape Tomatoes [or any kind of tomatoes]
Next chop a Green Onion into it.
The final things is to add the juice of half a fresh Lemon to the mix and scrunch again...
This is delicious!
Here are nutrition facts for the whole bowl...don't let the fat content scare you....this is the good kind of fat :)
